Trelawny Farm’s mission is to foster the excellence in show jumping and breeding
within the United States of America.
Over the years, Trelawny Farm has supported such riders as Eric Hasbrouck, who represented the United States at the World Equestrian Games in 1998 (Rome, Italy) on the fantastic mare Freestyle (Landgraff x Ladykiller) owned by Trelawny Farm LLC
Cara showed an interest in riding at the age of six, began her show jumping career at age 12 and has competed at the national and international level ever since. Cara was named to the Development Rider Tour in 2004 making her All Nations Cup debut the same year. She has represented the U.S. at three European events, placing 2nd in Helsinki, Finland and 6th in Falsterbo, Sweden. She won her first Grand Prix in 2004 – the $50,000 EMP Grand Prix (Culpepper, VA). She also placed first in the $50,000 Mary Murphy Grand Prix (Lexington, KY). In 2005, Cara won the $25,000 Grand Prix (Wellington, FL) and placed 8th in the AGA finals (Wellington, FL). During that period, Cara also began her training relationship with Beezie and John Madden in an effort to further strengthen her riding credentials.This relationship has thrived since inception and continues to provide Cara with both a constructive learning environment and exposure to one of the world’s most accomplished rider/coach pairings. She participated in Young Riders (Junior Olympics) from 1996-1998, netting three medals – team silver in 1996, team silver in 1997, and team bronze in 1998.
Niall Carey grew up in county Offaly Ireland. Completed he's (BHS) British horse society exams. Worked at the Connors family in Woodstown county Waterford home of top Irish show jumper Francis Connors. Emigrated to USA in 2002 and work/rode for top hunter/jumpers riders Ken Berkley and Scott Steward at River Edge’s farm. Work/rode at Ralph and Holly Caristo’s Glenview farm for a season in Wellington Florida. Worked as a work rider for Georgina Bloomberg’s and her Trainer Jimmy Doyle at Gotham North farm for three and half years. Work/rode for Darragh Kernis at Innisfree stables, top irish show jumper based in USA And then started he’s horse sales business with he’s wife USA show jumper Cara Raether Carey
Emma grew up on the west coast training with her mother Debi Marlowe & Leslie Steele in the hunters & equitation. Emma now 19, had a very successful junior career with top placings at Capital Challenge, Harrisburg, Washington, Kentucky, and Devon. Emma has catch ridden for many different top trainers on the east & west coast in the Junior hunters an Equitation. Emma joined Trelawny farms in Wellington of 2016 an made her transition fully into the jumpers.
